It looks like dancing talent runs in the family! 💃✨ Jeff Brazier, 47, is reportedly being wooed by BBC bosses to join the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, following in the footsteps of his son Bobby, who dazzled audiences all the way to the final in 2023.
Sources say Jeff, who has been a proud supporter from the sidelines during Bobby’s 2023 Strictly journey with Dianne Buswell, is now tempted to take the plunge himself. “He’s been hesitant in the past because he didn’t want to step on Bobby’s toes, but this year he’s seriously considering it,” an insider told The Sun.

The This Morning star has discussed the possibility with Bobby, who is reportedly thrilled at the idea. “Bobby thinks it would be amazing if his dad gave it a go,” the source added. While Jeff hasn’t yet signed his contract, those close to him are encouraging him to say yes.
It’s been a big year for Jeff personally too. The father-of-two has embraced life as a grandfather after his son Freddie welcomed a daughter, Isla, with ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn. In November, Jeff also split from his wife Kate after seven years of marriage, marking a period of new beginnings.

This year’s Strictly promises a shake-up as the long-running show undergoes a major revamp. Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe have been confirmed as the new hosts, taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The trio’s first official appearance was shared on Strictly’s Instagram, teasing fans with the caption: “It’s official… September 2026.”
Emma, visibly excited about her new role, said: “I’ve cheered and danced along from my sofa for years, so stepping into the Strictly ballroom is something I still can’t quite believe. Tess and Claudia left iconic shoes to fill, but we hope to carry the magic forward.”
Josh, who danced the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas special, admitted he was “giddy with excitement” about presenting, while Johannes described joining as “beyond anything I ever imagined” and vowed to carry forward the joy and heart of the show.
Joining this year’s lineup alongside EastEnders star Lacey Turner and Dani Dyer, who was forced to withdraw from last year’s series due to injury, Jeff could soon find himself spinning and twirling under the ballroom lights – continuing a family legacy on the glittering Strictly stage. ✨🕺
Whether he’s ready to take the sequins, the nerves, and the dazzling footwork in stride, one thing’s for sure: Strictly 2026 is shaping up to be a family affair not to be missed.
