Jesy Nelson Shares Heartwarming Forest Walk with Twins Amid Ongoing SMA Battle – Fans Left in Shock at Her Brave Journey

Jesy Nelson, 34, shared an emotional glimpse into her life as a mother of twins, Ocean and Story, as she took them on a walk through the forest. The singer, who opened up about her daughters’ SMA Type 1 diagnosis earlier this year, posted an adorable picture on Instagram on Friday, showing her precious girls swaddled in blankets as they gazed in awe at the lush greenery.

Since the heartbreaking diagnosis, which means her twins are unable to ever walk, Jesy has relentlessly campaigned for SMA screening to be included in the NHS newborn tests. Although the UK’s National Screening Committee rejected this plea earlier this year, there’s a glimmer of hope as plans have been set to screen over 400,000 babies starting in October 2026.

In a new update, Jesy revealed that while the plans are a positive step forward, the screening will only be available in select areas across England. “It’s a postcode lottery for your baby, which shouldn’t be the case,” she stated. “All babies’ lives matter, and as amazing as this is, there’s still a long way to go.”

Her campaign has been gaining momentum, with over 100,000 signatures on a petition, and now Jesy’s petition will be debated in Parliament – a win for her dedicated supporters. “I’m going to keep pushing,” Jesy promised, acknowledging the incredible support she’s received from fans.

The singer took a moment to celebrate a “major milestone” in her campaign. “I’m really proud of how far we’ve come,” she said. “This is a huge moment for the SMA community, and it’s a real proud moment.”

However, Jesy hasn’t shied away from the struggles she faces daily. She previously revealed how the medical procedures her daughters must endure, along with their daily care needs, leave her feeling emotionally drained. Describing the experience as a rollercoaster, Jesy admits that some days are incredibly difficult.

“I’ll never be able to explain how intense it is unless you see it,” she said.

Despite the challenges, Jesy remains hopeful. “I believe my girls are the strongest, most resilient babies, and I really believe they are going to defy all the odds,” she said.
