Joel Dommett and his wife, model Hannah Cooper, have announced the arrival of their second child – a son named Dutch Cooper-Dommett. The comedian and his wife shared the big news on Friday alongside an adorable black-and-white photo of their little one, writing, “Dutch Cooper-Dommett. Super late like his father, super long like his mother.”
The couple, already parents to a two-year-old son named Wilde, couldn’t be happier about their growing family. But in true Joel style, he couldn’t help but share the hilarious behind-the-scenes moment from the birth of their first child.

Joel famously nearly missed the birth of Wilde while indulging in a lavish meal at the hospital. He admitted on a podcast that he was so determined to get his “money’s worth” from the private hospital that he ordered a gourmet lamb shank and duck with red wine jus during the lengthy labor.
In a hilarious recount of his experience, Joel said, “I’m unbelievably tight. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the most expensive food while I could.” After 12 hours of waiting, Joel was still munching on his duck while his wife, Hannah, was in the throes of labor. The laughs continued when Joel’s order of a ham sandwich for Hannah didn’t quite match the grandeur of his own meal.
It wasn’t until 30 hours later when Joel, hoping for another meal, stepped out for more food, leaving Hannah to deliver their son without him. As one nurse famously put it, “He’s next door having a lamb shank.”
But the couple’s sense of humor remains strong as they embrace this new chapter of parenthood, and Joel’s adventures in the delivery room are sure to be remembered for years to come.
