JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are stepping into the festive season hand in hand — and for the first time, opening up fully about their relationship, future plans, and the controversy that surrounded their early connection.

The singer and performer, 22, and the former Love Island star, 32, are preparing to spend their first Christmas together in England, joining Chris’s family for the holidays — a milestone they both describe as deeply meaningful.
The couple met earlier this year on Celebrity Big Brother, where their natural chemistry quickly became a talking point among viewers. At the time, JoJo was still in a relationship with her now ex, Kath Ebbs, sparking months of online speculation about when — and how — her romance with Chris truly began.
Now, JoJo says it’s time to set the record straight.
“I Did Not Betray Anyone”
In a candid interview, JoJo firmly denied claims that she was unfaithful to Kath Ebbs.
“I did not betray her when I started my relationship with Chris,” JoJo said, addressing the rumours directly for the first time.

She revealed that while fans assumed their romance began publicly in June, the couple’s actual anniversary is May 27, 2025, confirming that their relationship began only after her previous one had ended.
Chris echoed her honesty, explaining that their connection developed gradually during and after their time in the Big Brother house.
“We spent three weeks together in that environment. We weren’t officially together then, but it was the start of really getting to know each other.”
Marriage? “It Won’t Take Seven Years”
The couple also didn’t shy away from discussing marriage.
JoJo joked that if Chris hadn’t proposed within seven years, she’d do it herself. Chris was quick to shut that down — with a smile.
“It shouldn’t take seven years to know if you want to marry someone,” he said, adding that he fully expects to be the one getting down on one knee.
While they’re not rushing, both made it clear they see long-term potential — built on communication, boundaries, and mutual respect.
JoJo explained that one of the strengths of their relationship is knowing when to protect it from work pressures and outside noise.
“We’re very intentional about not letting stress bleed into us,” she said.
A New Chapter for Everyone
Their interview comes shortly after Kath Ebbs announced her engagement to Tilly Lucas-Rodd — a development JoJo and Chris are said to fully respect and support.
Despite living between the US and UK, JoJo and Chris continue to grow closer. During a recent Instagram Live, fans even spotted rings on their fingers — sparking engagement rumours the couple laughed off, while admitting they’re serious about their future.
From reality TV scrutiny to setting boundaries, spending Christmas with family, and talking openly about marriage, JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes appear grounded, united, and refreshingly honest.
This isn’t a whirlwind fairytale — it’s a modern love story, unfolding carefully, publicly, and on their own terms.
