Josie Gibson has finally addressed the whirlwind of dating rumours linking her to fellow TV presenter Stephen Mulhern.
The former This Morning star, 39, and the Deal Or No Deal host, 47, sparked speculation after they were spotted holding hands outside TV studios in White City, West London earlier this month. At the time, Josie told MailOnline: “I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don’t think he loves me.” She further fanned the flames by posting a backstage video from Saturday Night Takeaway on Instagram, tagging Mulhern in the clip. 
Despite the public fascination, Josie has now firmly denied any romantic connection. Speaking to OK! Magazine, she insisted that she and Mulhern are simply “best friends.” “Stephen? Oh, he’s so lovely. We are really good friends, I really adore him, but there’s no romance in the air. But he’s so nice,” she explained. 
The Gloucestershire-born presenter added: “Every bloke I meet, the press seems to think I’m having it off with them. People must think I’m a right goer. I’m not like that. To be with somebody or to even kiss somebody, I’ve really got to love them. I can’t give my energy over when I’m not completely into it. You know when you get that magic connection? For me it only comes around like once every seven years or eight years. I love the love because those are very, very special moments when you find them.” 
Currently, the only man in Josie’s life is her five-year-old son, Reggie. She split from his father, property developer Terry, when Reggie was just five months old.
While rumours may swirl, Josie’s candid reflections remind fans that not everything seen in public or on social media tells the full story — sometimes friendship is just as rare and meaningful as romance.
