Joy Behar, 83, has addressed her past disagreements with former The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 48, clarifying that there is no ongoing feud between them. During the March 3 episode of Behind the Table podcast with executive producer Brian Teta, Behar reflected on reuniting with Hasselbeck for the latter’s week-long guest hosting gig while Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave.

Teta noted the pair’s history, asking Behar if the reunion felt like old times. “A little bit,” Behar admitted. “She’s a good kid, you know. I always liked her. We used to fight on the air about politics, but so what?” she explained.

Behar recalled the pair’s past on-air clashes, including a 2025 dispute when Hasselbeck criticized Behar over her comments regarding Carrie Underwood’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Despite these incidents, Behar emphasized that their tensions were always professional and on-camera, noting, “We’re friendly. The bombastic behavior is all on-camera. Once it’s over, it’s over.”

During the reunion on The View, Hasselbeck joined Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines at the Hot Topics table without referencing past disagreements. “It’s like the old days with me and Elisabeth, how long were we here together?” Behar said. Hasselbeck responded warmly, adding, “We are like family.”

Behar also remarked on the public perception of their relationship, noting, “I think for some reason people think you guys are at each other’s throats all the time. No, it’s fine. Today you could see we’re friends. We’re friendly. Watch the show.”

The former co-hosts’ interaction underscores that while they have had public disagreements, their personal rapport remains amicable, highlighting the difference between on-air debates and real-life relationships.
