Judy Finnigan, 77, and her husband, Richard Madeley, 69, were spotted looking more in love than ever as they took a romantic walk through the posh Hampstead area in North London. Despite Richard’s recent double wrist fracture, he proved to be the perfect gentleman, offering his arm to Judy as they strolled together on Wednesday.
Judy, who has kept a low profile in recent years, looked radiant and healthy in a long navy and white patterned dress, paired with black shoes. The former This Morning host has been through a major transformation since 2018, losing two stone after a serious health scare. Richard, on the other hand, looked casual yet stylish in a white linen shirt, light blue jeans, and simple black shoes.
Richard recently revealed his painful injury on Good Morning Britain, showing off his cast under his suit. While walking quickly down a steep pavement in France, he tripped and fell, resulting in a double fracture. Richard shared the moment he thought, “Am I going to win, or is gravity going to win?” and, unfortunately, gravity won. Despite his injury, he remained upbeat and focused on moving forward.

Judy’s incredible health overhaul was prompted by a near-death experience in 2018, when a ruptured stomach ulcer left her needing two life-saving blood transfusions. The ordeal pushed her to reassess her lifestyle, and she worked with her personal trainer daughter, Chloe, to adopt a healthier diet and exercise routine. This transformation helped her lose two stone and keep the pounds off. Judy credits her daughter for putting her on a plan that included smaller portions, eating more often, and regular physical activity.

Although Judy has mostly stepped away from the public eye, she made a rare appearance on her 77th birthday, looking stunning in a £126 floral dress from Boden. She was surrounded by her family, and daughter Chloe shared photos from the event, captioning them, “Rosé flowing with your chosen family. Happy birthday to my favourite woman in the world.”

Judy’s new look and health transformation have made headlines recently, and her journey has inspired many. Meanwhile, Richard continues to be a familiar face on Good Morning Britain, sharing updates on his injury and the challenges that come with it.
The couple’s enduring love and strength through personal challenges remain a testament to their bond. From their early days working at ITV Granada Television in the 1980s to their wedding in 1986, Richard and Judy’s relationship continues to be a symbol of love and resilience, showing that true love endures through thick and thin.
