Kate Garraway has fans talking after a cosy moment with her new man, Liam Halligan, before his heroic 300km London-to-Paris charity bike ride.
The Good Morning Britain host, 59, was on hand to see off Liam, 57, as he set off on the tandem cycling challenge with his pal Serge Kogan. The ride is part of the Duchenne Dash, a charity event raising vital funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research, a heartbreaking condition that affects children.
While Kate and Liam have kept their relationship low-key, their closeness is undeniable. A source says: “It’s early days, but the chemistry between them is impossible to ignore.” The two were spotted sharing a tender moment at the event, with Kate looking supportive as Liam prepared to take on the gruelling ride.
The pair’s connection comes two years after the tragic passing of Kate’s husband, Derek Draper, who died from COVID complications in 2024. Liam, an economist, had known Derek for years, and recently revealed he and Kate have grown close over the past few months. He said: “We’ve both ended up single, and in recent weeks, we’ve become good friends.”
Kate, who shares two children with Derek, Darcey (19) and Billy (15), has been open about her grief and journey since losing her beloved husband. But now, it seems she may be finding love again, thanks to Liam’s unwavering support.
