Katie Price has made one of her most emotional admissions yet, revealing that she struggles to look at her own reflection and believes she is living with body dysmorphia.
The former glamour model and TV personality, 48, opened up during an appearance on Josh Smith’s Great Chat Show podcast, where she spoke candidly about her long-running battle with self-image despite undergoing dozens of cosmetic procedures over the years.
“I Hate the Way I Look”
In a remarkably honest conversation, Katie admitted she avoids mirrors whenever possible because she cannot bear to see her own reflection.
“I hate what I see,” she confessed. “I don’t have mirrors in my house. I’ve got one mirror, just one.”
She went on to explain that she now believes body dysmorphia may be behind the feelings that have haunted her for years.
“I definitely think I’ve got body dysmorphia now. I was in denial before. If anyone says, ‘Oh, you were stunning,’ I’ve never been stunning. I still don’t like what I look like—I hate it.”
Acknowledging that her thoughts aren’t healthy, Katie added: “I know it’s not normal… but I just hate the way I look. Sad, isn’t it?”
Her deeply personal comments have resonated with many fans, highlighting the hidden emotional struggles that can exist behind fame and public appearances.
A Lifetime of Cosmetic Procedures Didn’t Change How She Felt
Katie has never hidden her love of cosmetic surgery, openly discussing the many procedures she has undergone throughout her career.
Reports have suggested she has had more than 40 cosmetic treatments, including around 17 breast operations, multiple facelifts, eyelid and brow lifts, a rhinoplasty, as well as corrective work for scar tissue and migrated fillers.
Yet despite years of altering her appearance, Katie admitted that none of those procedures changed the way she felt inside.
Her comments offer a powerful reminder that cosmetic surgery cannot always resolve deeper emotional struggles or issues surrounding self-esteem.
Looking Back at Childhood
Katie believes the roots of her insecurities stretch far beyond adulthood.
Reflecting on her past, she explained that many of the challenges she faces today began during childhood.
“Everything starts with your childhood,” she said. “It affects everything else that comes when you’re an adult. I never knew all of that, so I literally had to go through everything.”
Rather than focusing solely on appearance, Katie suggested that understanding her past has helped her better understand why she continues to battle negative feelings about herself.
Finding Stability With Lee Andrews
While speaking openly about her personal struggles, Katie also shared some happier news about her private life.
She described her marriage to Lee Andrews as the healthiest relationship she has ever experienced.
The couple married earlier this year after a whirlwind romance, and Katie said the relationship feels completely different from those she has had in the past.
“I don’t need Lee—I want Lee, and there’s a massive difference,” she explained.
Katie praised her husband for having his own ambitions and independence, saying she finally feels like she’s with someone who sees her as a person rather than a celebrity.
“He’s got his own thing going on. He’s very intelligent, and he’s older, whereas I’ve always gone for younger.
“I’m comfy. He’s not in and out of my pockets. I’m just used to men who end up being like a puppy dog… in the end they become my sixth child.
“Lee’s not like that. He sees me as me, not a product, and he doesn’t take any nonsense—and I love that.”
A Rare Glimpse Behind the Headlines
For years, Katie Price has dominated headlines for her relationships, cosmetic transformations and larger-than-life personality. But this latest interview revealed a far more vulnerable side of the television star.
Her candid reflections on body image, childhood experiences and finding emotional security in her marriage have sparked an important conversation about self-worth and mental health.
While Katie says she still struggles with what she sees in the mirror, many fans have praised her willingness to speak honestly about a battle that countless people quietly face every day.
