Katie Price has extended an olive branch to her ex-husband Peter Andre, vowing to finally heal the “rift” between them for the sake of their daughter, Princess.

The 47-year-old TV personality spoke on the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, insisting she’s a “bloody good mum” to her five children and wants to sit down with Pete to clear the air once and for all.

“There’s no reason why both parents can’t be there to support her,” Katie said. “This isn’t about me — I don’t care that I’m not in Princess’s show. I don’t need to raise my profile by being on it. All I want is to watch her do her photo shoots, her signings… just like my mum and Nan used to support me. I’m proud of her, and I want to be there.”

The plea comes amid reports of tension between Katie and her 18-year-old daughter, whose ITV reality series The Princess Diaries has been airing this week. The show follows Princess as she finds her footing in the entertainment world, but Katie has yet to watch an episode.

“I feel like I’ve missed out on so much,” she admitted. “Princess talks highly of me in the show, which is sweet, but why wouldn’t she? She lives with me. The kids have never lived just with Pete — we’ve shared them. I’m a bloody good mum. People can see that with Harvey. I just hate that when people split up, things get messy and the kids get used.”

Katie believes the best way forward is for the adults to meet and resolve their issues: “It’s not fair to put Princess in the middle. We don’t all have to be best friends, but for the sake of the children there’s room for everyone to support them.”

She added: “Me and Princess are so, so close. We’ve never had an argument, and we still text and call each other every day.”

The family fallout reportedly began when Katie wasn’t invited to Princess’s 18th birthday party, hosted by Peter. In The Princess Diaries, Princess appeared to choose her guest list without including her mum — a move Katie has linked to being banned from appearing in the show.

Speaking on her podcast at the time, she said: “Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. It’s pathetic — I’m her mother.” Her sister Sophie chimed in: “You aren’t on brand, Katie. You’re too risky, that’s why.”

Katie continued her frustration: “There are things my daughter is doing and I’m not allowed to be at any of it. I’m not perfect, but I’m the only woman in this world who wants the very best for my children.”

Earlier this week, she posted a cryptic Instagram story that read: “Your mum is not your enemy… I’m not trying to control you, I’m trying to protect you.”

Whether her public olive branch to Peter Andre will lead to a genuine reconciliation remains to be seen — but Katie insists her priority will always be her children.
