Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos turned the 2026 Tony Awards into a dazzling date night at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, celebrating a remarkable season for their family. Both Mark and their son Joaquin Consuelos made their Broadway debuts in separate productions this year, marking an extraordinary milestone. :max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(999x0:1001x2):format(webp)/_Kelly-Ripa-and-Mark-Consuelos-060726-1-37c6a37a78e44347b3c0c8309b1542fe.jpg)
On the red carpet, Kelly wowed in a blue floral gown with cap sleeves, while Mark opted for a classic black tuxedo. Joaquin, 23, shone in Joe Mantello’s revival of Death of a Salesman, sharing the stage with Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Chris Abbott, and Ben Ahlers. Mark, 55, took his Broadway bow in Scott Ellis’ Fallen Angels, starring alongside Kelli O’Hara and Rose Byrne.
Though neither father nor son earned nominations themselves, the pair’s productions were in friendly competition for Best Revival of a Play, sparking good-natured “smack talk,” as Mark revealed during interviews for their Hulu docuseries Squatters: Get the F** Out of My House*. Kelly echoed the sentiment, teasing the playful rivalry between her husband and son.
The Consuelos family has been fully supporting one another. In April, Kelly and Mark attended Joaquin’s opening night for Death of a Salesman, and later that month, Joaquin joined them for Fallen Angels’ premiere, celebrating Mark’s debut. Kelly frequently praised both their performances on Live with Kelly and Mark, highlighting her pride and admiration. :max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(665x0:667x2):format(webp)/_Kelly-Ripa-and-Mark-Consuelos-060726-2-fbb467d466d342e189384de077f22e2f.jpg)
“It was unbelievable… just to see Joaquin on stage took my breath away,” Ripa said, describing the thrill of watching her son perform. She also praised Mark, noting, “You knocked my socks off… I forget how unbelievably funny you are.”
The 2026 Tony Awards, hosted by Pink, showcased the family’s Broadway achievements and the excitement of their simultaneous stage ventures. Tickets for Death of a Salesman, running through August 9, remain on sale. The pre-show, The Tony Awards: Act One, streamed live on Pluto TV at 6:35 p.m. ET, followed by the main broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET.
