In a story that feels almost scripted, Mark Consuelos and his youngest son, Joaquin, are making Broadway history together — not as father and son from the audience, but as actors side by side.
This spring, both made their debuts on the Great White Way in acclaimed revivals: Mark, best known from Live With Kelly and Mark, is taking on Marcos Duclos in Fallen Angels, while Joaquin, fresh from his 2025 college graduation, steps into the iconic role of young Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman.
“It took a couple of weeks for us to actually realize we were going to be onstage at the same time,” Mark told The New York Times. “It was interesting, odd, and honestly, really cool.”
Even more surprising? Joaquin rehearsed first, becoming a kind of Broadway guide for his dad. “He would joke, ‘You don’t need to be nervous, Dad. It’s going to be OK!’” Mark shared, laughing at the role reversal.
For Joaquin, this shared stage is about more than acting — it’s a rare, unforgettable father-son chapter. “It’s definitely a father-son experience,” he said. “Something we both wanted to do, and we’re so lucky to be doing it at the same time … I’m going to miss it. We have so much to talk about now.”
Fans can catch Joaquin in Death of a Salesman through August 9, while Mark’s Fallen Angels closed June 7, the same night as the 2026 Tony Awards. Neither received nominations this year, but for this family, the memory of performing together may be the most rewarding accolade of all.
This may just be the first act of many for the Consuelos family on Broadway.
