Kelsey Parker has shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late husband, Tom Parker, on the fourth anniversary of his tragic death. In a powerful post on Instagram, the 35-year-old opened up about the immense grief she continues to experience while honoring Tom’s memory.
“This is the hardest month of the year for us. Not only is it Brain Tumor Awareness Month, but it also marks 4 years since I lost my best friend, my soulmate, the most incredible daddy to our children,” Kelsey wrote. “Four years without you, Tom… and yet the fight still continues.”
Kelsey used the anniversary as a platform to highlight the lack of funding for brain cancer, which remains the leading cancer killer of children and adults under 40. “Brain cancer remains the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet it receives just 1% of national cancer funding. That has to change!” she said.
This poignant message comes shortly after Kelsey spoke out on World Cancer Day, revealing the lasting impact cancer has had on her family. “Losing Tom to a brain tumor didn’t just break my heart, it changed the way I saw the world forever,” she reflected. Kelsey emphasized the importance of cherishing every moment, saying, “Cancer steals time, future, plans. It also wakes you up, it makes you hold your loved ones tighter.”
In her message, Kelsey offered strength to others facing similar struggles, urging them to live fully despite grief. “You can grieve and still be grateful. You can lose someone and still choose to live,” she wrote. “Grief doesn’t leave. You just learn how to carry it while still choosing to live, love, and show up.”
