Kerry Katona has spoken openly about her ongoing battle with long-term health issues, revealing that her body has “completely shut down” at times amid severe and persistent chronic pain.
The 45-year-old star shared an emotional update, saying she is currently waiting for a full set of medical results after experiencing a recent decline in her condition that has left her feeling alarmed and vulnerable.
“I live with chronic pain and have done for years,” Kerry explained. “But there have been moments recently where my body has just completely shut down. It’s been really scary.”
She admitted that the experience has made her reflect deeply on her health, adding that it has been “sobering” to realise how quickly the body can change.
“I’m realising how fragile we can be,” she said. “It’s frightening to see how quickly things can shift.”
Kerry also revealed she is seeking additional specialist support, including further medical assessments and osteopathic treatment, as she tries to manage ongoing issues linked to her spine and joints.
Her health struggles are not new. The former Atomic Kitten star has previously been diagnosed with conditions including ulcerative colitis and arthritis, both of which have contributed to long periods of severe discomfort over recent years.
She has also previously described episodes where pain became so intense she required hospital treatment, including emergency care and medication to manage acute flare-ups.
Despite ongoing challenges, Kerry has continued to speak openly about her health journey, aiming to raise awareness of chronic conditions and the impact they can have on everyday life.
Her latest update has prompted an outpouring of support from fans, many of whom have praised her honesty and resilience in speaking about difficult and often private health struggles.
As she awaits further test results, Kerry says she is focusing on rest and trying to better understand the causes behind her recent flare-ups, hoping for clearer answers in the near future 💔
