ITV’s Loose Women has been pulled from screens once more, leaving fans disappointed just weeks after the daytime favourite was off air for almost two months.
Viewers tuning in for their usual lunchtime discussion show on Tuesday (June 16, 2026) were instead met with a surprise schedule change, as ITV reshuffled its daytime lineup to make room for Royal Ascot coverage.
Rather than airing at 12.30pm, Loose Women was replaced by an extended edition of This Morning, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, which ran an extra 30 minutes ahead of the lunchtime news bulletin.
The schedule then moved into ITV News and regional updates before switching over to ITV Racing Live: Royal Ascot, which dominated the afternoon broadcast from 1.30pm through to 6pm. The coverage featured Francesca Cumani, Ed Chamberlin, Jason Weaver, Adele Mulrennan, Matt Chapman, Oli Bell, Rishi Persad, Luke Harvey, and commentator Richard Hoiles, with lifestyle segments from Mark Heyes and Charlotte Hawkins.
For many fans, the sudden removal of Loose Women adds to growing frustration, coming only two weeks after the programme was previously bumped for Epsom racing coverage. Earlier this year, the show also disappeared for six weeks amid wider ITV daytime schedule changes.
Ruth Langsford addressed the disruption on Monday’s episode, confirming the break on air: “That’s it for today. And for the rest of the week, actually. Loose Women is off because of Ascot. We’ll be back in a week’s time.”
She also reassured viewers that the panel would return soon, adding that the show is expected back in its regular 12.30pm slot on Monday, June 22, 2026.
The repeated schedule shake-ups come as ITV continues rotating its daytime output, with both Loose Women and Lorraine now typically airing for around 30 weeks a year.
While this latest break is relatively short, loyal viewers have once again been left adjusting their lunchtime routine.
