Mark Consuelos didn’t hold back when discussing a “dirty little secret” of New Yorkers on Live with Kelly and Mark. During a conversation about the leftover slush and grime from a recent snowstorm, Kelly Ripa revealed a shocking truth about dog owners in the city: when it snows, many believe the snow magically melts their dogs’ waste, so they refuse to clean it up.
But as Ripa shared this unspoken rule, Consuelos’ frustration was clear. He quickly pointed out that snow does the opposite. “It freezes it and holds its shape. It preserves it. It’s like a monument,” Ripa added, causing Consuelos to blow up.
“I believe there’s a special place for people who leave their dog poop on the street. I think there’s something wrong with you,” he declared. “Really, really wrong with you. It’s not nice. Pick up your dog’s poop. Come on!”
The conversation got even more heated when Ripa recalled a social media video where girls in club clothes were seen stepping into snow piles outside a cab. “You don’t know what’s on the other side of that pile!” she quipped. “I have institutional knowledge. You just stepped in a bunch of dog poop.”
Consuelos didn’t miss a beat, teasing, “You need a tetanus shot!”
