KRIS Jenner’s beloved mother Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell was surrounded by her loving family in her final photo taken just weeks before her death at 91.
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch spent Mother’s Day in 2026 with daughter Kris, 70, and grandchildren Kylie, 28, and Kim, 45.
Just weeks before Kris announced her mother’s death on July 16, MJ cuddled up to Kylie at a brunch on May 10.
She was glamorous as ever in a blue and white button-down shirt and bright red lipstick, her hair in a brunette bob.
Sisters Kourtney, 47, and Khloe, 42, were also at the Mother’s Day celebration, but playfully claimed Kylie cropped them out of the photo.
In her last photo taken out in public, MJ stepped out with a walker at dinner in Beverly Hills alongside daughter Kris.
The famous family’s matriarch wore a camel sweater as security helped her walk outside in December 2024.
Kris looked on dotingly behind her.
The momager announced the sad news to fans on Thursday, claiming her heart was “broken.”
“Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ,” she wrote on Instagram.
“There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye. My mom was the heart of our family.
“She taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted.
“She taught us that family is everything. She showed us how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments.
“She showed me how to face life’s challenges with resilience and faith.
“Mom, thank you for every sacrifice you made, every piece of wisdom you shared, and every moment you loved us so completely.
“I will miss our daily talks, your smile, your laughter… Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that love like yours never truly leaves us.
“Your love will live on in our family, in our traditions, in every moment we are together, and in every life you touched.”
Kim also broke her silence on her grandmother’s death after her mother dropped the sad news.
My sweet Grandma MJ, my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin,” she said.
“You taught all of us the importance of family, and those values are something we’ll carry with us forever!!!!!”
Before her death, MJ survived both colon and breast cancer.
She also lived through the 2024 death of her daughter Karen Houghton, and the 2003 death of her third husband Harry Shannon.
“I know my mom struggles with so much right now because she is 90 and she’s frail,” Kris said on a 2025 episode of The Kardashians.
“Ever since my sister passed away, she’s been super sad, like we all have, and I know that I need to be there for her.”
Kris and her six kids spent a lot of quality time with MJ before her death.
