Phoebe Kay, the daughter of Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, has sparked attention after subtly hinting at a “new era” for her family just as news of her parents’ separation was confirmed.
The 21-year-old model and student appeared upbeat while sharing glimpses of her life in New York, where she is currently studying and building her modelling career, shortly after her mother Tess travelled to the US for a reunion visit. 
Tess, 57, recently shared heartwarming photos from her time with Phoebe, showing the pair enjoying sightseeing in New York City. In one post, the mother and daughter were seen wearing coordinated yellow and white outfits, highlighting their close bond during the emotional visit.
Just hours before the couple’s separation was made public, Phoebe had already posted a playful clip on social media with her mother, teasing what fans now interpret as a symbolic “new chapter” for the family.
Following the announcement that Tess Daly and Vernon Kay had decided to separate amicably after nearly 23 years of marriage, Phoebe’s earlier post has gained renewed attention among fans.
In a joint statement, Tess and Vernon confirmed the decision was made “with care and respect,” stressing that their priority remains their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, 16.
Since the announcement, Vernon has also publicly addressed the split on his BBC Radio 2 show, thanking listeners for their support and stating that the separation remains friendly and respectful.
Despite the change in their relationship, both Tess and Vernon have continued to present a united front as co-parents. Vernon even left a supportive comment on Tess’s recent post, writing: “What a few days” alongside a heart and fire emoji, suggesting mutual respect remains intact.
