Professor Green, the rapper and former Celebrity Traitors star, has revealed a shocking health struggle, sharing that he has been battling a rare condition, Schwannomatosis, which causes multiple benign tumours. Despite undergoing surgery to remove painful growths from his head and neck, he has discovered even more tumours in his body, including one behind his left eye and three along his spine.

He went on say that he’d also recently been diagnosed with Schwannomatosis, which is a rare condition that results in multiple benign tumours
The 42-year-old, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, opened up about his health issues on Instagram, revealing the ongoing challenges he faces with his condition, which also includes ADHD, Autism, and Factor IX deficiency. He explained that while his nerve sheath tumours are benign, they cause severe chronic pain and can lead to neurological complications.
Taking to social media, Professor Green wrote: “The combination of my parents handed me ADHD, Autism, Pyloric Stenosis, Factor Vii deficiency, and now the latest addition: Schwannomatosis.”
Green went on to describe the physical and mental toll his condition has taken, acknowledging the complex relationship between pain and mental health. He said, “It’s hard knowing what’s owing to what sometimes—whether the physical pain is causing mental anguish, or my mental load is manifesting physically. It’s probably not worth too much thought, but I’m doing my best to acknowledge and accept it all.”
In the emotional post, Green also expressed his acceptance of his condition, saying: “It’s an intense experience, but it’s mine, and it’s the only one I’ll ever know. I’m working towards ‘not everything is okay, but I am,’ and doing better some days than others.”
Professor Green’s openness about his diagnosis, and the impact it has on his daily life, provides a rare glimpse into the challenges of living with chronic conditions. He ended the post with an inspiring message to others facing similar struggles: “To anyone suffering with anything chronic – I see, hear, and feel you!”
Alongside his health battle, Professor Green recently shared a heartwarming moment from his personal life. He revealed that he and his ex-wife, Millie Mackintosh, have reconnected after years of silence following their split in 2016. The pair, who both share ADHD diagnoses, reconnected after Millie released her book Bad Drunk, about her journey to sobriety. Green shared that their communication was respectful and light-hearted, with the two even laughing about their ADHD diagnosis.
The former couple’s reconciliation comes after nearly a decade of no contact, with Green confirming they are now on good terms.
