Rylan Clark has spoken publicly for the first time about revealing his infidelity to husband Dan Neal, a confession that led to the breakdown of their six-year marriage in 2021.

The 37-year-old presenter took the hot seat on The Assembly, where celebrities face unfiltered questions from the audience. When asked whether he regretted telling Dan about the affair, Rylan replied candidly: “Yeah, I think it is. I’m okay admitting I’m in the wrong… It made me so ill, like so ill. It sounds a terrible thing to say, but I’m glad it happened.”

Discussing his heartbreak, Rylan described the aftermath as like having the “rug pulled from under you,” leaving him unable to cope with memories in his home and forcing him to move back in with his mother.
He also opened up about the pressure of representing gay marriage as a public LGBTQ+ figure: “There was part of me that felt like a complete failure. I felt like I’d failed personally, but in a way, it was a gift. I’m learning to be my own person now.”
Rylan has since found new love with Kennedy Bates, sharing sun-soaked snaps from a Maldives getaway. Kennedy captured the romance with heartfelt gestures, including drawing a giant heart on Rylan’s back in suncream. Rylan captioned: “Maldives. You were perfect. New year, new friends, new beginnings.”
From devastating heartbreak to finding love again, Rylan’s story highlights resilience, self-discovery, and the power of second chances.
