Six months after his explosive migrant rant sent complaints flooding into Ofcom, Rylan Clark has made a shock return to This Morning — and fans couldn’t be happier.

The 37-year-old presenter was back on screens today, stepping into the hosting chair alongside Emma Willis, looking relaxed, confident and very much at home.

“Best duo on daytime TV!”

The comeback marks Rylan’s first appearance on the ITV show since last summer, when his outspoken comments about the migrant crisis sparked more than 500 complaints to regulator Ofcom.

Back in August, Rylan triggered a fierce backlash after airing his views on migrants crossing the Channel.

During a heated segment, he described the situation as “insane” and claimed the public was being fed a narrative of:

“Welcome, come on in… here’s the iPad, here’s the NHS, three meals a day and a games room in the hotel.”

While admitting his comments would upset people, Rylan also shared a deeply personal moment — revealing that migrant doctors and nurses had saved his mum’s life, and stressing he fully supported legal immigration.

“This country is built on immigration,” he said.
“They pay tax, they work hard, and they help this country thrive.”

Still, the remarks divided viewers — and by the end of the summer, Rylan confirmed he was stepping away from the show.

On his final day filling in as host, he announced bluntly:

“Last day today!”

Despite the earlier controversy, fans were overjoyed to see Rylan back where many feel he belongs, praising his chemistry with Emma and calling for ITV to keep the pairing.

Even after one of the most complained-about moments on daytime TV last year, Rylan’s return proves one thing loud and clear:

Daytime telly hasn’t fallen out of love with him just yet.
