While The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams used to be close, their issues began airing out on season 16.

On the currently airing season 17, the two still have drama that has not been resolved.

Shamea, 44, recently sat down with Carlos King to address a comment Porsha’s mom made about a “dog that brings a bone” which Shamea and her mother took to be about Shamea on Carlos’ Reality With the King podcast.

“That was hurtful,” Shamea said. “Like, I just didn’t even understand where that was coming from, cuz all I see on these cameras is me defending your daughter. So I didn’t understand like, wait, what? Watching it, I was like, wow, this is really how these people feel about me. And it was hurtful, for sure.”

Shamea also insisted she was not the first one to bring up “the moms.”

As fans of the show know, Shamea and Porsha, 45, have been fighting over their mothers.

“I was not,” Shamea reiterated. “She brought up our parents last year.”

Porsha, for her part, talked to Carlos about Shamea bringing up their mothers’ issues in Scotland, where the ladies went on their cast trip for season 17.

“Because she and I are not close or have any relationship, doesn’t mean we can’t be on the show and just coexist,” Porsha stated. “And so I tried to do that… the best of my ability.”

Porsha insisted it “did get very bad in the end of the show.”

“She ended up bringing something and I was like, ‘This is out of the blue,’” she elaborated. “Like, I had – we had actually started ki-kiing and stuff and it just… So I do shy away from speaking about her um just because I just don’t understand what’s there. It seems to be something that… I’d rather not engage with.”
