Gino D’Acampo has reportedly pulled his £4.2million Grade II listed townhouse in Hertfordshire off the market after struggling to find a buyer. This dramatic move comes after the celebrity chef faced mounting controversy and financial setbacks.
Daily Mail revealed that Gino drastically slashed the price of his luxury property to just £2.1million back in February, but now, just a month later, it seems the house is off the market entirely.
This stunning Georgian townhouse located in the posh town of Hoddesdon was originally listed for sale in June of last year. Despite its rich history and breathtaking period features, including eight fireplaces, tall ceilings, and large shuttered windows, it appears that even its prime location couldn’t seal the deal.

The townhouse (pictured) has six bathrooms, a giant kitchen/breakfast room and a living area featuring a grand piano next to a spectacular Georgian fireplace
Gina and his wife Jessica had spent a significant amount on the 4,720 sq ft property, which includes period features typical of houses of its era including fireplaces in eight of the rooms, tall ceilings with roses and original ornate cornices
So, what went wrong?
Sources close to Gino say that despite the luxurious renovation he and his wife, Jessica, poured money and time into, the market simply isn’t in his favor. One insider claimed: “Gino learned the hard way that right now, it’s a buyer’s market. He must be devastated having to drop the price.”
This decision comes amid a series of troubling events in Gino’s career, including multiple allegations of inappropriate conduct and his restaurant empire sinking under £7.3million in debt before heading into administration.
The ITV investigation into Gino earlier this year found disturbing claims of “unacceptable behavior” spanning over 12 years, including sexist comments towards Holly Willoughby in 2018. Gino has vehemently denied these allegations, calling them “deeply upsetting.”
Meanwhile, Gino’s plans to relocate to Australia for work projects have also been thrown into disarray, following the removal of his upcoming shows from the ITV schedule.
Luxury Property Details:
The property in question spans an impressive 4,720 sq ft, featuring six bathrooms, a massive kitchen, and a living area complete with a grand piano next to a Georgian fireplace. It’s the kind of place where you can picture a star-studded dinner party or a quiet evening by the fire.
Despite all the history and grandeur, it seems the house has failed to capture a buyer’s interest – no doubt frustrating for Gino, who had hoped to cash out and move on from his tarnished public image.
With all the drama surrounding him, it’s unclear what’s next for Gino. Will he find a buyer, or will this saga continue to unfold? One thing’s for sure – the chef’s fall from grace has left a sour taste in the public’s mouth, and this mansion might just be the least of his worries.
