Sinitta has stunned fans by revealing she’s quietly been in a relationship for the past two years — a romance she carefully kept away from the public eye.
The 62-year-old pop icon spoke candidly on Monday’s edition of Loose Women, sharing her reflections from I’m A Celebrity: South Africa. While navigating life in the jungle, she and her partner had deliberately stepped back from the spotlight — he isn’t part of show business, and she wanted to protect him from the glare of fame.
Describing her partner as a “funny, characterful Leeds lad” with plenty of bad dad jokes, Sinitta admitted his personality made him both charming and endearing. She insisted the secrecy was her decision: “I wanted to protect him… not put him under that pressure, but he’s a great guy — my little Harry Redknapp.”
Looking back, Sinitta also reflected on her past relationship with Simon Cowell, which became an enduring friendship. She confessed she once believed they might marry, though she admitted to possessiveness and romanticising the relationship. Now, with her new love, she seems to have found someone who complements her life perfectly — away from the spotlight, private, and joyful.
Even her brief marriage to ex-husband Andy Willner was partly a “revenge move,” she admits, but it eventually evolved into a positive chapter. Yet, the connection with Simon remained a defining part of her journey, adding context to why she valued protecting her current romance.
