Stacey Solomon couldn’t hide her pride this week as her eldest son, Zachary, unveiled a striking new look. The 18-year-old, who shares a close bond with his famous mum, finally had his braces removed after two long years — and Stacey was full of compliments.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday (June 10), Stacey cheekily celebrated the milestone: “Guess who’s got his braces off after two years?!” Sitting beside him, she teased, “Does it feel weird? I remember getting mine off and just being like…” before mimicking the classic post-braces tongue-lick move.
“Oh Zach, you look so handsome!” she gushed, prompting a playful “Stop doing that!” from her son, to which Stacey quickly apologised. She captioned the adorable clip: “So handsome 😭”.
Zachary also shared snaps of his brace-free smile on his own Instagram, writing: “After 2 long years. Finally got my braces off. Feel happier about smiling now. It feels soooooooooooooo strange though. And I feel like I look so different but not much has changed. Weird.”
Fans flooded the comments with love and praise. One wrote: “Very handsome man and look at that smile Zach! Your confidence is shining.” Another added: “Lovely Zach, congratulations. Looks lovely.” And yet another chimed in: “I can’t believe what a handsome young man you have grown into!”
Zachary is Stacey’s eldest child, born when she was just 17 with childhood sweetheart Dean Cox. Stacey has previously spoken openly about the challenges and stigma of being a young mum, sharing on Loose Women in 2018: “I always felt the stigma [more] of being a young mum and any of those doubts that me alone wasn’t enough for my child came from within rather than from anybody else.”
From braces milestones to teenage pride, Stacey’s admiration for Zachary is clear — and fans are loving every smile along the way.
