Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has shared the joyous news that she is expecting her second child with husband Marius Iepure. The professional dancer and former Strictly champion posted a heartfelt Instagram announcement, revealing the happy update alongside their daughter.
Sharing a series of photos with “baby number 2” in the background, Oti wrote:
“Plot twist… We thought we had our hands full already, but life had even bigger plans. Baby No. 2 is joining the dance party, and our hearts (and house) are about to get a whole lot fuller. #babynumber2”
During a recent appearance on Loose Women, Oti confirmed she is four months pregnant and revealed that she has been managing “loads” of morning sickness. She reflected candidly on her first trimester:
“The first trimester was hard, but like anything, you get over it. I survived it, I can wake up in the morning now!”
The dancer also shared a touching moment with her young daughter, who is aware that she will soon have a sibling. Oti described how her daughter wakes up each morning, pats her belly, and says:
“Good morning, baby.”
Fans and fellow stars have flooded the post with congratulations. Sister Motsi Mabuse commented, “We love you, congratulations, the bigger the better.” Fellow Strictly professionals including Jowita Przystał and Karen Hauer also celebrated the news, while Zoe Ball and Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall sent heartfelt messages to the growing family.
Oti Mabuse, who won Strictly Come Dancing consecutively in 2019 and 2020 with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey, was a professional dancer on the show from 2015 to 2021. She later served as a judge on Dancing on Ice from 2022 to 2025.
She and Marius welcomed their first child in 2023, announcing the birth of their daughter on Christmas Day. Oti previously spoke about the premature arrival of her daughter during her appearance on I’m a Celebrity in 2024, recalling the emotional and challenging hospital experience. She reflected,
“My daughter was really tiny when she was born. She’s been through hell. It’s hell to be in the hospital, to hear those sounds, to not see your baby’s eyes for a week, to constantly look for advice from the doctors. The worst thing was, that every night, you needed to leave your baby in somebody else’s hands.”
Oti praised Marius and described the experience as deeply emotional yet profoundly humbling:
“Talking about it with Richard [Coles] made me very emotional, but it also made me very grateful because I’m so lucky.”
The couple now eagerly anticipates the newest addition to their family, marking another exciting chapter in their lives.
