Life has gently shifted off-camera for Helena Worthington, who has revealed she has welcomed her second child — choosing warmth, privacy and family over the screen that made her a familiar face to millions.
The Gogglebox star shared the joyful news with fans in a tender Instagram update, confirming the arrival of a baby girl and revealing she’ll now be “swapping screen time for snuggles” as she settles into life as a family of four.
A Soft, Joyful Announcement
The 31-year-old artist posted a series of intimate photographs on Thursday, offering a glimpse of her newborn daughter alongside her six-year-old son, Erwin. While she chose not to reveal the baby’s name, the message spoke volumes.
“Swapping screen time for snuggles (and plenty of nappy changes!) as we welcome our little one to the world,” Helena wrote.
She went on to explain that she would be stepping back from social media while the family adjusts.
“I’ll be quieter on here for a bit while we find our feet,” she added.
“The new boss is here — and has already called all the shots.”
Helena shares her children with partner Dan, with the couple opting to keep much of their family life private — a decision fans have long respected.
A Pregnancy Shared in Real Time
Helena first announced her pregnancy in December, choosing a moment of everyday life rather than a polished reveal. She posted a candid photo of herself gardening with Erwin, her growing baby bump visible beneath a burgundy floral dress, layered with a cardigan and quilted jacket.
At the time, she joked:
“Pregnant. Tired. Raging indigestion. Still crouching down to explain why we don’t dig up all the bulbs.”
She later reflected on being 33 weeks pregnant while revisiting RHS Bridgwater — a place filled with memories from Erwin’s baby years.
“These in-between moments feel really precious lately — messy, slow, and very real,” she wrote.
“I’m excited… but it feels strange knowing Erwin will suddenly seem so big.”
Life Beyond the Sofa
Despite her popularity on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, Helena has always maintained a life well away from television fame.
She stars on the show alongside her parents, Alison and George, yet has previously admitted she doesn’t even own a TV.
Speaking to OK! magazine at the TRIC Awards in 2023, she revealed:
“I don’t really watch telly at home — I don’t have a TV. Gogglebox is how I catch up on what’s going on.”
She added with a laugh:
“I go to my mum’s and use her electric. You get to sit down, eat food and watch TV — it’s a pretty good gig.”
Away from screens, Helena works as an artist at Islington Mill studios, focusing on sculpting and painting. Reflecting on her creative beginnings, she once joked that her childhood habit of drawing on walls and cookbooks — and blaming her brother — may have been the start of it all.
She has also spoken warmly of her partner Dan, previously telling WalesOnline he is “an amazing artist” who has always supported her fully.
A New Chapter as Gogglebox Returns
Helena joined Gogglebox in 2017 and quickly became a fan favourite, praised for her warmth, honesty and grounded outlook.
The show’s 27th series is set to return at 9pm on Friday on Channel 4 — but for now, Helena’s world is firmly centred at home, embracing newborn cuddles, slower days and the quiet magic of early motherhood.
For a star who has never chased the spotlight, this latest chapter feels perfectly on brand.
Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen far from the camera.
