Tess Daly, 57, has given fans a glimpse of her radiant self following last week’s split from husband Vernon Kay, still wearing her wedding ring in a series of striking Instagram photos.
The former Strictly Come Dancing host posed in a chic black ensemble—matching flared trousers and top—her blonde locks cascading in loose waves and makeup impeccably done. Captioning the post “The glam before the go,” she tagged her hair and makeup artists, while Vernon, 52, confirmed their amicable terms by liking the post. 
Last Friday, the beloved couple shared a joint statement announcing their separation: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.” 
Tess and Vernon tied the knot in 2003, sharing two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16. Their story began at a BBC Christmas party in 2001, where two rising TV stars from rival channels bonded as fellow Northerners—Vernon from Bolton, Tess from Stockport. A year later, Vernon proposed on Christmas Day at Tess’s parents’ home, and they married the following September at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Horwich. Tess wowed in a sleek, strapless wedding dress by Marina Adanou, sparkling crystals and sequins, paired with Jimmy Choo heels. 
Over the years, they became a golden TV couple, hosting BBC singing competition Just The Two Of Us (2006–2007) and sharing the screen during countless public appearances. Most recently, the pair were seen together hosting The One Show in February 2026, showing that even after 25 years together and 22 years of marriage, their bond remains grounded in friendship and mutual respect.
