Today’s Dylan Dreyer Shares Heartwarming Family Update With Ex-Husband Brian Fichera’s Relatives After Quiet New Chapter

Today star Dylan Dreyer has shared a sweet family update showing that her bond with ex-husband Brian Fichera’s family remains strong following their separation.

The TV meteorologist is a devoted mother to three young sons, whom she shares with Brian. Although the former couple separated in 2025 after 12 years of marriage, they have continued to maintain a respectful and loving relationship for the sake of their children.

Now Dylan has shown that the closeness extends beyond just the former couple, with Brian’s relatives still playing an important role in her sons’ lives.

On June 1, Dylan posted a cheerful update on social media featuring Brian’s sister Nicole and Nicole’s daughter Emma supporting Dylan and Brian’s boys during a sponsored run.

Nicole and Emma appeared at the event with handmade signs for each of the children, cheering them on and posing for photos with the boys after the race.

In her caption, Dylan praised them for showing up in such a loving and memorable way.

“There are people in your life who go above and beyond to embarrass, I mean, show up for your kids,” she wrote, adding that she loved Nicole and Emma “so much” for doing exactly that over the weekend.

Fans quickly responded to the touching post, praising the family’s continued closeness. One wrote that family is the best and called Dylan’s boys adorable, while another described Auntie Nicole and cousin Emma as “the best.” A third fan said Dylan had brought her own cheering section for her sons and noted how important it is to have good people in your corner.

Dylan has previously shared holidays and family moments with Nicole and Emma, even after her separation from Brian, proving that their extended family bond has remained intact.

Dylan and Brian married in 2012 after meeting while they were both working at NBC in Boston. Over the years, they often shared glimpses of their home life on social media.

In 2022, the couple admitted that their busy work schedules meant they often stayed connected during the week through text messages.

They announced their separation in July 2025. At the time, Dylan released a heartfelt statement explaining that she had shared much of her family life with viewers over the years, including the highs, the lows, the blessings and the beautiful memories.

She said she was incredibly grateful for the love and support she had received and wanted to be open about the fact that she and Brian had made the decision to separate a few months earlier.

Dylan stressed that they had started as friends and would remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, she said they would continue to co-parent their three wonderful boys with love and respect for one another.

Last fall, Dylan and her sons moved out of their New York City apartment and relocated to Upstate New York, where they are currently renting a beautiful home.

The Today star recently reflected on the emotional move during her podcast, The Parent Chat. On June 4, she spoke about leaving the apartment behind and revealed that her youngest son, Rusty, four, had found the change especially difficult.

In one emotional clip, Dylan was heard telling him to smile because it was their last video in the apartment, while Rusty cried on the floor.

When she asked whether he liked the house, he replied that he did.

Looking back at the footage, Dylan admitted it had made her cry as well. She said it was the first time she truly saw the different chapters of her life reflected through her children’s bedroom.

She described the empty apartment as a powerful reminder of everything the room had seen over the years, from family memories to childhood milestones.

Now, Dylan said, she and her sons are moving forward into a new adventure and a new chapter as a family.

Her latest update with Brian’s sister and niece shows that even after major life changes, Dylan’s children remain surrounded by love, support and a family circle that continues to show up for them.
