Jen, hoping to win big for an exotic honeymoon with her new husband Kyri, was on track to claim a huge prize until she reached the £500,000 question. The moment of disaster came when Jeremy Clarkson asked, “According to Guinness World Records, which of these has traveled at over 260 miles per hour during a competitive game or match?” The options were a tennis ball, ice hockey puck, badminton shuttlecock, or table tennis ball.

With no more lifelines, Jen phoned her father for help, but unfortunately, he didn’t know the answer. Clarkson warned her that if she chose incorrectly, she would lose £186,000, a moment that caused even the host to express disbelief.

“Oh my god, you have just lost £186,000!” Jeremy exclaimed. “It is unbelievable you took a punt on that. You need a bravery award for that.”

Jen, unsure whether to take the risk, eventually chose the ice hockey puck. Unfortunately, she was wrong, and the correct answer was the badminton shuttlecock. Despite the monumental loss, Jen remained composed and said, “Well, that’s fine. I have won £64,000,” referencing her safety net.

Jen’s loss now secures her position as the second-biggest loser in the show’s history, only beaten by Nicholas Bennett, who lost £375,000 after answering the £1million question incorrectly last year.

Before the fateful £500,000 question, Jen breezed through earlier rounds. On the £32,000 question, she used the Ask The Audience lifeline to correctly identify the ukulele as the musical instrument most closely associated with Hawaii since the 1880s. Later, she relied on the 50/50 and Ask The Host lifelines to correctly answer the £125,000 question about Oscar-winning actors.

The heart-pounding moment concluded Jen’s time in the hot seat, but her brave attempt left viewers and Jeremy Clarkson in awe.

Last week, Roman Dubowski became the seventh-ever jackpot winner on the show, taking home the £1 million prize.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
