Fresh questions were swirling in the early hours of Sunday morning after Wayne Rooney was spotted drinking into the small hours alongside two mystery women at a luxury Manchester hotel — just hours before the BRIT Awards took over the city.
The former England captain, now a BBC pundit, was seen socialising at a celebrity-packed pre-BRITs party, where witnesses claimed he appeared “worse for wear” as the night wore on.
At one point, onlookers said Rooney appeared to struggle to keep his trousers up while standing at the hotel bar — an awkward moment that did not go unnoticed by fellow guests.
