COLEEN Nolan has opened up on fears about being able to afford her mortgage payments amid Loose Women’s shock budget cuts.

Loose Women has been forced off air for a number of weeks a year owing to ITV‘s cuts of their daytime output.

It has meant that all of the show’s panellists are appearing in less episodes per year than normal.

This has created financial worry for some of the show’s cast as nearly all of the women are paid on a per episode basis.

They are usually guaranteed a certain number of episodes per year in order to earn their big-money fees but this episode count is understood to have been drastically reduced amid a number of episodes being axed.

Now, Coleen has spoken about her money fears amid the show cuts.

Coleen has confirmed to OK Magazine that she has lost money as a result of the episodes being cut.

The star has been on the programme since 2001 but she has admitted her finances have now altered.

She told the publication: “On the one hand, it’s nice to have a bit more time off.

“But on the business side, I think, ‘I’ve got a mortgage to pay’.

“We get paid per show and I’m filming fewer shows. But it has given me more incentive to do other TV work.”

Coleen has been forced to top up her income by signing up to other shows.

She was revealed to be part of the cast of the upcoming series of E4‘s Celebs Go Dating in order to boost her falling bank balance.

She previously said on the Not My Bagg podcast about how the changes would affect the working of the show.

Coleen said: “It’s just a different vibe, I think it will be okay but I’m just going to miss a lot of different people behind the scenes.

“It will still be live but there will be no audience and I don’t think they are having guests. I just feel like it will be like a podcast but on live television.

“But, it could have been worse. They could have said: ‘By the way, we’re not recommissioning it. See you later.’

“It’s still here, it’s still going.

“I love having the audience there. You know, you get all the feedback from the audience and the adrenaline from the audience. So that’s going to be really weird for us.”

Despite the recent changes at Loose Women, Coleen revealed there were no feuds backstage on the show – despite constant rumours of tension.

She added of her time on the programme to OK: “We all get on. We’ve got a WhatsApp group and support each other through everything.

“It’s like having 20 extra sisters.

“I’m closer to the people I work with most, so people like Christine [Lampard], Ruth [Langsford] and Brenda [Edwards].”
