Peter Andre has finally broken his long-held silence on co-parenting with ex-wife Katie Price — but insiders warn that his explosive statement last week is “just the beginning” of a much bigger storm.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, came out swinging after years of being accused by Katie, speaking publicly for the first time about the real reasons behind his children Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, living with him.
In a fiery social media post, Peter declared:
“For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones. That ends today.”

According to a source, Peter reached breaking point. “He’s been pushed to the brink. He’s broken and had no choice but to speak out. His mother is very ill and all of this is causing immense stress. All he wants is for the lies to stop — for the sake of his family.”
The Trigger
The fallout came after Katie used her podcast, The Katie Price Show, to “clear up” confusion about where Princess was living. Katie claimed: “Princess lives with me and she stays with her dad. She’s been staying at her dad’s the past two months because she has been filming her show.”
Just hours later, Peter hit back with a detailed statement — which was ‘liked’ by his wife of 10 years, Emily MacDonagh. He revealed that the children had legally been in his care since 2018.
“For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood,” he wrote. “In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement.”

Peter also accused Katie of making false claims on two separate occasions — 2011 and 2015 — adding that she was ordered to pay damages, legal costs, and issue apologies.
“This Is Just the Start”
In what appeared to be a parting shot, Peter warned that Katie’s “baseless accusations” would be “dealt with in the coming months.”
But Katie’s team quickly issued their own response, claiming she was “at peace with the situation” and insisting she would not engage in “tit for tat comments.” They added: “More importantly, she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyer’s hands. Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was.”
Behind the scenes, however, insiders say Peter is far from finished. “Katie keeps saying this is ‘tit for tat’, but the truth is she’s been bringing up Pete repeatedly. He felt he had no choice but to set the record straight. What he’s revealed so far is just the tip of the iceberg.”
Princess at the Centre
The bitter row reignited as Princess celebrated turning 18 and launching her own ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries. Katie accused Peter’s management team, who also represent Princess, of deliberately excluding her.
She claimed she was being shut out of public events with her daughter: “I’m not allowed and not welcome. They won’t allow Princess to do photoshoots with me or attend events together because they think I’m trash.”
Peter’s management, The CAN Group, denied this: “We would never stop any of our clients seeing their family. It’s not something we would ever get involved with.”
A source close to Peter added: “All Pete wanted was for Princess’ show to succeed and to focus on her. He only appears on screen because she lives with him and Emily. He’s just supporting her.”
Katie’s Plea — and Peter’s Silence
On her podcast, Katie admitted she fears the tension could damage her daughter: “I’m proud of her and I just want to be there with her. I feel like I’ve missed out on so much and it’s not fair to put Princess in the middle.”
She even suggested a peace summit: “It’s about time all of us adults sit down and talk about what their beef is with me — and get over it.”
But sources close to Peter insist he has already tried: “Years ago, Peter made efforts to sit down with her, but she wasn’t interested. He’s tried so hard in the past — it never worked.”
For now, Peter’s rep insists he won’t be making further comment. “Peter has released a statement and won’t be commenting further at this time.”
And with whispers that his statement was only the opening shot, it seems the Andre–Price battle is far from over.
