Ulrika Jonsson has launched a scathing attack on Andy Carroll, accusing the footballer of flaunting his romance with Lou Teasdale across the Mediterranean — while his ex-wife Billi Mucklow stays at home, focused on raising their children.

Andy, 35, shares three kids — Arlo, Wolf, and Marvel Mae — with Billi, who also helps raise his two teenage children, Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14, from a previous relationship. Despite his parental responsibilities, the footballer has been busy showcasing loved-up holiday snaps with Lou, the celebrity make-up artist he recently rekindled his romance with after a brief split.
But Ulrika, writing in her column for The Sun, wasn’t impressed. She praised Billi for her “quiet dignity” while firing a sharp rebuke at Andy:
“Billi is at home with the three children she shares with Carroll, plus the two children from his previous relationship. She’s been going about her business quietly, diligently, with unwavering dignity — choosing to put the children first.
“She has understood that children need continuity, connection and a daily routine. So while their father has been gallivanting across the Mediterranean with his tongue attached to Lou Teasdale’s tonsils, she has chosen to prioritise those she loves the most.”
“Why Do Mothers Stay While Fathers Leave?”

Ulrika questioned why it is so often the mother who carries the burden of care while the father moves on with his personal life.
“The mother is the one who remains at home with the children, who doesn’t rush into another relationship, who makes sure she has her ducks in a row before embarking on a new life,” she wrote. “Why is it so much easier for a man to leave his family behind to satisfy his own needs?”
She added that Andy and Lou’s “relentless summer of love” had left her exhausted just from watching.
MailOnline has contacted Andy’s representatives for comment.
Carroll and Lou Back On

The criticism comes after Andy confirmed he had rekindled his romance with Lou Teasdale following their recent split. The couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, with Andy wiping all traces of Lou from his profile, before reconciling just days later.
The breakup was initially reported as Andy dumping Lou for being “too high-maintenance,” but Daily Mail revealed it was actually Lou who walked away.

A source told the outlet: “It was Lou who ended the relationship. She wanted to deal with the split privately, but Andy blocked her and deleted their photos together. She’s upset with how it played out, but she needed to protect herself.”
Despite her reluctance, Andy flew to Ibiza by private jet in a dramatic attempt to win her back. The source added: “He thought it was romantic, but Lou was unimpressed and just wanted time with her family.”
Andy Speaks Out
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Andy admitted he and Lou were working through difficulties, often tied to his drinking habits.

“I love Lou and I love her family,” he said. “We row like any couple. Some rows have been about alcohol, since she’s been teetotal for 14 years, and I’ll have a beer or wine at dinner or after the game. But it’s not a problem in my life. We’re better off together and trying to make it work.”
He also referenced his divorce from Billi, saying: “Things have been difficult for me, and I’m going through a divorce.”
A Marriage in Turmoil
Andy and Billi split last September after two years of marriage. Their relationship had already been under strain since 2022, when his stag-do in Dubai nearly derailed their wedding after photos emerged of him passed out in bed with two women.
Although Billi forgave him after assurances that nothing sexual occurred, their marriage eventually collapsed. Andy confirmed last year:
“Billi and I privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings. It’s been a hard few months for our family, and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.”
The ex-couple share three children, with Billi also acting as a stepmother to Andy’s older two.
