“Of Course We’ll Be Together”: Paddy McGuinness and Ex-Wife Christine Reunite for Christmas, Three Years After Going Their Separate Ways

It’s not the festive headline anyone expected — but Paddy McGuinness and his ex-wife Christine have revealed they’ll be spending Christmas side by side, three years after ending their marriage.

The TV presenter, 52, and model, 37, announced their separation in July 2022 after 11 years together, yet have continued to live under the same roof while co-parenting their three children. Now, as Christmas approaches, they’ve confirmed they’ll once again come together — and insist there was never any question about it.

Speaking candidly in a new interview, Paddy made it clear the decision was simple.

“Of course we’ll spend Christmas together,” he said.
“When you separate, it’s tough for everyone. But if you can still get on and do what’s best for your kids, that’s a bonus.”

The former couple share 11-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and seven-year-old Felicity — all of whom have been diagnosed with autism — and Paddy says their children’s happiness remains the priority.

“Both of our families are our children’s relatives,” he explained.
“Our kids are always happy to see all of their family.”

A Different Kind of Christmas 🎄

While the relationship has changed, Paddy insists the atmosphere at home hasn’t turned cold or uncomfortable.

“We’re lucky,” he said. “The kids see us laughing and joking. There’s no tension.”

Christmas Day itself is expected to be low-key, with close family popping in over the festive period — exactly how their children prefer it.

“That’s what they like,” Paddy added.

He also reflected on how Christmas looks very different now compared to when the twins were younger. At one point, even a small tree was too overwhelming due to sensory sensitivities. This year, however, the family has a fully lit tree — complete with gentle musical ornaments.

Christine’s Honest Reality After the Split

The interview comes after Christine admitted that life post-separation hasn’t always been easy. She has previously described single life as “lonely” at times and confessed that dating again has been challenging.

Earlier this year, she joined Celebs Go Dating — only to quit midway through filming, explaining she wanted to return home to her children.

Despite attempts to move forward, Christine remains single and has spoken openly about how difficult public events can feel without a partner by her side.

Looking back on her marriage, she acknowledged mistakes were made — and that trust was broken — but has always been clear about one thing:

She will always love Paddy as the father of her children.

As many families face divided homes and difficult compromises at Christmas, Paddy and Christine’s decision offers a rare glimpse of a different path — one built not on reconciliation, but on respect, maturity, and putting their children first.

And this year, at least, they’ll be doing it together.
