Davina McCall certainly made sure all eyes were on her at last night’s BRIT Awards — and she knew exactly what she was doing.
The TV favourite, 57, issued a playful warning to fans ahead of the ceremony, teasing that her bold outfit choice might not be for everyone. And judging by the reaction online, she wasn’t wrong.
The iconic awards show, held for the first time at Manchester’s Co-op Live on February 28, saw Davina McCall arrive alongside her hairdresser husband Michael Douglas. Before stepping onto the red carpet, Davina shared a mirror selfie of the pair, giving followers a preview of their striking looks.

Michael opted for a standout blazer featuring a silver lightning bolt design, layered over a white vest. He teamed the look with black jeans, white socks and leather shoes, finishing the outfit with multiple necklaces and his signature long, curly hair worn loose.
Davina, meanwhile, went for maximum impact in a short black dress featuring flesh-coloured stripes that created a barely-there illusion. The long-sleeved design was paired with pointed black leather heels, while her dark hair was swept up to showcase the dress. She completed the look with a bold red lip and matching nails.
Captioning the snap, Davina joked: “Me and @mdlondon are going out out!!! Don’t wait up for us kids,” before adding a cheeky warning: “@brits BRACE YOURSELVES. Good luck @jackwhitehall.”
It didn’t take long for opinions to roll in — and they were sharply divided.
Some critics were quick to voice their disapproval. “Who the [bleep] chose their clothes?” one follower wrote. Another commented: “These two look ridiculous. Act your age.” A third added: “Sorry, but she doesn’t suit that dress at all.”
But others couldn’t get enough of the daring look.
“We need the dress link immediately, please,” one fan begged. Another gushed: “Omg how do you manage to look so ammmmaaazzzinggg.” One follower summed it up perfectly, writing: “Davina, it is unethical how amazing you look. I cannot cope.” Others simply praised the couple, calling them “absolutely gorgeous”.
Love it or loathe it, Davina’s BRITs appearance did exactly what a red carpet moment should do — get everyone talking.
