Eamonn Holmes ‘Falls Asleep on Air’ as Viewers Voice Concern Over TV Presenter’s ‘Slurring’

Eamonn Holmes left viewers worried after appearing to nod off while presenting live on GB News. The veteran TV host seemed to fall asleep during an interview with Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Darren Jones MP.

A clip from the show reveals Eamonn fiddling with his mic pack before drifting off, with his eyes closed for a few moments. He soon jolted awake and continued to adjust his equipment before briefly going on his phone. Meanwhile, his co-host Ellie Costello continued questioning the MP about the investigation into Labour’s former British Ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson.

A Health Struggle?

Insiders at GB News have expressed concern over Eamonn’s recent health struggles. One source shared with The Sun, “It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Eamonn has been struggling a lot more lately. Today, he was falling asleep on air and slurring his words. There were lots of messages coming in about it.”

Earlier in the broadcast, viewers had already voiced concern about Eamonn’s speech, describing him as “slurring” while presenting the three-and-a-half-hour breakfast show. Some viewers wrote messages saying, “Please help Eamonn Holmes. He’s obviously struggling, falling asleep this morning. Slurring his words. The guy needs medical assistance!!” Another commented, “Is Eamonn Holmes okay? Should someone not take him off air and get him seen to?”

Viewer Reactions and Concerns

Eamonn’s health struggles have left some viewers feeling distressed by his on-air appearance. One viewer commented, “Why is Eamonn Holmes basically falling asleep on air? He looks either off his face or just so tired he can’t stay awake! It’s actually quite disturbing to watch! Poor Ellie next to him!” Another added, “Help Eamonn Holmes. The man is falling asleep on GB News this morning!! This is quite cruel.”

As the situation continues to unfold, fans are hoping for clarity and better understanding of Eamonn’s health condition.
