Holly Willoughby, 45, is stepping into the digital world with an exciting new online show that marks a bold departure from her long career at ITV. After turning her back on terrestrial television, the beloved broadcaster is embracing the future, with plans for her new project titled Together.
Produced and presented in partnership with husband Dan Baldwin’s company, which is behind shows like Gladiators and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Together promises to combine fashion, cookery, and more, reminiscent of This Morning’s signature magazine-style format. According to reports, the show will also feature a shopping element, selling clothes to viewers.
Holly has previously shared snippets of her preparation for the show with fans on Instagram, posting fashion and cooking videos that seem to preview the eclectic content to come. An expert said, “The idea of ‘togetherness’ is clearly at the heart of this new series, and the title evokes a sense of reunion with Holly after a long absence.”
One source close to Holly shared, “She’s been in our living rooms for 16 years, but daytime TV is on the decline. She wants something new—something fresh and innovative. The digital space is where people are consuming content now, and Holly sees a huge opportunity there.”
Despite her ongoing popularity, Holly has turned down multiple offers to return to ITV, including a chance to host You Bet! for a third time, a show she had previously appeared on in 2024. Holly’s departure from ITV came after a tumultuous period in her life, which included the shocking incident involving former security guard Gavin Plumb, who was convicted of attempting to kidnap, rape, and murder her. This tragedy, coupled with her fallout with This Morning co-presenter Phillip Schofield, has led Holly to seek a new direction for her career.
While Holly maintains a good relationship with ITV, she has made it clear that she has no intention of returning to the network for now. She turned down other opportunities, choosing instead to focus on her own project. “This is a risk, but it’s one Holly is ready to take,” a close friend explained. “She’s excited to not only be in front of the camera but also be in charge behind it. This is her chance to try something new.”
