Sally Dynevor, best known for her role on Coronation Street, has revealed her heartfelt thoughts about the past year and her hopes for 2025 following her husband Tim’s battle with cancer. The actress, 61, who has supported Prevent Breast Cancer for over two decades, shared that despite the tough times, she is optimistic for the year ahead.

In an exclusive interview with HELLO!, Sally opened up about the difficulties she and her family faced in 2024. “My husband Tim has had his own battle with cancer, but he’s come through it and we’re looking forward to the future,” she said. “Next year is going to be so exciting. I really have a good feeling about 2025.”

Sally’s words come after a year of emotional challenges, as her family supported Tim through his health struggles. The couple, who have been married for 30 years, has found strength in each other, and their bond remains stronger than ever. Sally, a mother of three, also spoke about how important family is to her, particularly during these difficult times.
Reflecting on her own experience with cancer, Sally revealed how her battle with breast cancer in 2009 shaped her outlook on life. “It’s a wake-up call, and it changes your life forever,” she said. “You have to face your own mortality, and at that time, I was a mum to three young children, so you can imagine how frightening that was.”
Sally underwent a lumpectomy and six months of chemotherapy before making a full recovery. She shared how cancer affects not just the individual, but also their loved ones, particularly her children. “When you start a cancer journey, you have to take everyone with you, even though you’d give anything to shield them from it. It’s hard for them, but we got through it,” she added.

Sally has continued to advocate for breast cancer awareness through her work with Prevent Breast Cancer, a charity she deeply supports. The charity focuses on research to predict, prevent, and detect breast cancer early. Sally expressed her passion for the cause, saying, “The charity has a really clear mission—to make breast cancer a preventable disease for future generations.”
As the Big Give Christmas Challenge kicks off, Sally is rallying behind the cause, helping raise funds for breast cancer research. “I don’t want the next generation to go through what mine did,” she said, passionately advocating for further research into breast cancer prevention.
With 2025 around the corner, Sally remains hopeful, resilient, and ready to face the future with her family by her side. Fans have been sending their love and support, and Sally’s story continues to inspire many as she uses her platform to raise awareness about the fight against cancer.
