Ruth Langsford, 66, has opened up about the emotional aftermath of her split from Eamonn Holmes, revealing how she spent weeks “crying so much” in therapy. The Loose Women star, who separated from the GB News host in May 2024 after 27 years together, said seeking therapy was “the best thing” she could have done to cope with the heartbreak.

Speaking candidly on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Ruth shared how therapy helped her come to terms with the end of her marriage. “Once you accept it, you can start moving forward,” she said, reflecting on the difficult journey of healing. Despite the challenging period, Ruth expressed that the breakup hasn’t “put her off” the idea of finding love or getting married again.
“I won’t let a jerk bring me down,” Ruth said with unwavering confidence. “I’ll move on and live happily with someone new.” Her resilience and strength through this emotional chapter are a true inspiration, showing that no matter what, she’s ready to embrace the future with positivity.
While Ruth’s journey to healing continues, she also shared the impact of her beloved sister Julia’s tragic suicide. Her grief has shaped much of her personal growth, and she credits her work for helping her get through the darkest times.
Her story serves as a reminder that even in the toughest of times, we can rise above and find happiness again.
