In a candid post on Instagram, Lisa explained that she had been sober when the accident occurred, joking that it was caused by a “slippery breakfast stool and a woollen cardi.” Despite the pain, Lisa maintained a positive outlook, sharing a selfie with her surgeon and expressing immense gratitude for the NHS.

“I had a very bad fall over the weekend (no, I’m sober) no drunk jokes – it was my extremely slippy breakfast stool and a woollen cardi,” she wrote, alongside a picture of herself and her surgeon, Dr. Thornton. “So today, I’ve had my operation, surgery, treating my UCL in my Thumb repaired. Thank you to the incredible team at LGI Leeds.”

The actress also praised the NHS for their “incredible” care, thanking the medical team who helped her during the procedure. Fans and friends flooded her social media with messages of support, wishing her a speedy recovery.

Lisa’s post comes on the heels of her emotional conversation about her close friend and former Strictly Come Dancing star, Robin Windsor, who tragically passed away in 2024. Reflecting on his struggles with mental health after leaving the show, Lisa spoke of the deep loss she felt and how Robin’s passing has affected her.

She said, “He was my one-in-a-million friend. It’s been really hard since he passed. Two years have gone by, and I just keep asking myself, ‘Why did I lose such a wonderful person?’”
