In an unexpected gesture of goodwill, Ant McPartlin, 50, has sent his ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong, a bouquet of flowers following the heartbreaking death of their dog, Hurley. This touching act appears to mark a brief thawing of tensions between the estranged couple, who have long been embroiled in a bitter feud.

The bouquet was delivered to Lisa’s home just a day after their beloved chocolate Labrador passed away, with the Britain’s Got Talent host reportedly arranging the flowers just before jetting off to Portugal with his wife, Anne-Marie Corbett, and their children. Lisa, 49, was reportedly “touched” by the thoughtful gesture and even joked to her friends that it was the first time Ant had sent her flowers in years.

The exes reunited briefly at the London vets where Hurley was put to sleep earlier this month. The emotional strain of losing their dog was too much for Lisa to bear, leaving Ant to be with Hurley in his final moments, with the dog passing away in his arms.

Despite their lengthy custody battle over Hurley, which began after their split in 2018, the shared grief of losing the 12-year-old dog appears to have brought the former couple closer. A source told The Daily Mail, “Lisa was really taken back by the flowers – she wasn’t expecting anything. It’s a small step, but it’s a sign that Ant and Lisa might be able to be civil again in the future.”
While Ant and Lisa’s relationship turned sour years ago, culminating in a £30 million divorce, the couple has shared custody of Hurley over the years, with the dog becoming the only connection between them. The pair had even agreed to divide his ashes in half after he was cremated, with plans for individual memorials.
This heartfelt gesture has sparked speculation that the couple could eventually move past their animosity. However, sources close to them suggest this may also be the “end of an era,” with Hurley’s death marking the final chapter of their turbulent relationship.
Following the loss, Ant and Lisa have both taken time to grieve, with Ant heading to Portugal and Lisa traveling to Los Angeles. As they continue to deal with the pain of losing their beloved pet, it seems this chapter may bring them both some much-needed closure.
