The Britain’s Got Talent star, who previously lived in the humble council house she grew up in, despite being worth millions, has finally shared a glimpse of her luxurious new surroundings.

For over six decades, Susan called the West Lothian home hers, but now she’s taken a big step and moved just 20 miles down the road. The singer, who celebrated her 65th birthday in her new abode, has moved closer to her manager and good friend, Geraldine Easton, who lives nearby in Falkirk.

Earlier this week, she posted a heartwarming picture of herself in her living room on Instagram. In front of a mantlepiece filled with birthday and ‘New Home’ cards, Susan beamed next to a confetti-filled balloon that read “Happy Birthday.” She shared her heartfelt gratitude with her fans in the caption, writing:

“Thank you all so much for your lovely birthday wishes, cards and gifts. I’ve felt so spoiled and very grateful for all your kindness. I’m truly touched by all the love you’ve sent my way, it means more to me than I can say. I’m so excited for the year ahead and everything that’s to come. I can’t wait to share it all with you. With love, Susan x.”

The glimpse into Susan’s new home shows a living room featuring patterned wallpaper and a cream fireplace, radiating a sense of warmth and comfort.

But the decision to leave the council house wasn’t easy. A friend of Susan’s shared that the move had been an emotional one, as Susan had lived in that home her entire life. “Susan has always spoken of the deep bond she feels with her parents by remaining there. This was a tough decision, but it’s much more convenient for her now. She’s living closer to her PA and friend, and having her two cats with her has helped her adjust,” the friend explained.

Now, Susan has finally found a new sanctuary for herself, closer to the people who matter most, and she’s looking forward to the next chapter of her life.
