Amy Tapper, star of Gogglebox, has unveiled her glamorous new look after losing an incredible eight stone, thanks to the weight loss medication Mounjaro. The 26-year-old TV personality has dropped from a size 26 to a size 18 through a combination of the medication and consistent exercise. In a recent selfie, she looked stunning with a sleek straight hairstyle, a departure from her usual curly locks, and a trendy nose stud.

She posted the snap on social media with the caption: “Oh hey, me again x,” as she ran errands in her car, rocking a pair of chic dark sunglasses. Amy, who joined Gogglebox with her family at the age of 13, recently shared that doctors had prescribed her Mounjaro just as she was considering gastric bypass surgery.
While Amy’s weight loss journey has been celebrated by many, it has also come with challenges. She opened up about the loose skin that comes with losing such a significant amount of weight, acknowledging that she would eventually need surgery to address the skin around her arms and tummy. “Unfortunately, when you lose eight stone, there’s a lot of skin that won’t go away with exercise,” she admitted. “It’s stones of fat that are now just skin.”
Despite facing criticism from some online trolls who accuse her of “cheating” with the help of medication, Amy remains confident in her efforts and insists she’s maintained a consistent workout routine. “I’ve been with the same personal trainer for five years, and I love going to the gym. It makes such a difference mentally, and it works hand-in-hand with Mounjaro,” she said.
Since February, Amy has been taking a 15mg weekly dose of Mounjaro, having gradually worked her way up from a 2.5mg dose. She saw impressive results, losing 5lbs in just one week, and six months later, she had shed a total of four stone. “I’m still eating less and moving more, but the combination of the weight loss medication and my active lifestyle is the perfect pair,” she explained.
Amy has partnered with online pharmacy Chemist4U to reclaim the phrase “eat less, move more,” after a new study revealed that 7 out of 10 people using weight loss medication feel judged for doing so. She also featured in a new music video with DJ Fat Tony for the campaign, a collaboration that sees the pair promoting the message of health and self-acceptance.
The online response to Amy’s transformation has been mixed. While many fans have praised her for being an inspiration, the trolling has taken a toll on her mental health. In an emotional interview on Good Morning Britain, Amy shared how the negative comments have affected her, admitting, “No one is superhuman, and even though I try to be strong, it does get to me sometimes.”
Amy concluded by urging others not to let the opinions of others dictate their actions. “You’re doomed if you do, doomed if you don’t. So why not just do it?” she said, encouraging others to focus on their personal goals and well-being.
