The actress shared an emotional post expressing how difficult the past months have been. Alice revealed that her father, David, had been cremated, but only extended family and friends were invited to speak at the funeral. She explained that the news of not being invited would have “finished” her brother Tony, who passed away at the age of 55 just six months ago. “I’m so glad you didn’t have to know that,” Alice wrote. “It would have finished you.”

In her heartfelt tribute to her late brother, Alice described the immense pain she felt. “I miss you!! I miss you so much! I miss our daily talks and texts! How am I supposed to go on living without you?” she wrote. She also shared that her two daughters, who had a close bond with Tony, miss him dearly. “The girls miss you too – massively. You stood right up as a father figure to them, and then suddenly you were gone. Please know this – they know how much you loved them. They really do.”

Alice admitted that she is in a “dark hole” due to the grief of losing both her father and brother. “Grief sucks. Early loss sucks,” she wrote. “We need to be nice to each other. Kindness is the only way.” She continued to share how deeply the loss of her father had affected her, especially since she wasn’t invited to attend his funeral.

In addition to her family struggles, Alice has also been going through a tough time with her ongoing court battle against ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd. A judge ruled to renew the domestic violence restraining order against Alice for another five years after a trial that involved accusations of harassment toward Ioan and his new wife, Bianca Wallace. Alice’s emotional state was further impacted by the court ruling, which added to her grief over the losses in her family.

She also expressed her gratitude toward her fans for their kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time. “I just want everyone who messaged me to please know that your words meant THE WORLD to me,” Alice wrote, acknowledging how much their messages have helped her through these tough months.

In her post, Alice shared a gallery of photos of her late brother, Tony, and her father, David. The loss of both family members in such a short span of time has been overwhelming for Alice, but she has found solace in the messages from her fans. She also reflected on the importance of kindness during times of grief, encouraging everyone to be compassionate toward one another.

In her emotional tribute to Tony, Alice described him as “the kindest, most loyal, funniest, warm person I could have ever hoped to have had as a sibling.” She shared that Tony was her “best friend” and the “most incredible husband” to his wife, Rachel. “He will leave a gaping hole in the lives of me and the girls,” Alice wrote, “that I have no idea how I will fill.”

Alice also thanked her cousin Steph for offering support during this difficult time. “It was really great to be able to talk about my Dad and my brother with somebody who really knew them,” she wrote. “I just wanted to post because yes, I am in a bit of a dark hole at the moment, but holy smokes – your messages have completely blown me away.”

As Alice continues to navigate her grief, she remains grateful for the kindness shown by her fans. “I feel so lucky. Honestly, you are all getting us through it, and I will never stop being grateful to you all,” she concluded.

Earlier this year, Alice revealed the heartbreaking news of her brother Tony’s passing in a post that described his battle with health issues. Alice paid tribute to him as “the most incredible husband” and a “beloved uncle” to her daughters. She wrote that she could not believe he was gone, adding that Tony’s death had left a void in her life that she wasn’t sure how to fill.

In the wake of her brother’s passing, Alice shared her struggle with feeling “isolated from family” and being in “limbo” as she awaited to travel back to the UK for Tony’s final farewell. “We are dying to get back and hold our family members and to be able to say goodbye to my favourite man in the world,” she wrote on Instagram stories. “But sometimes things take longer than expected, and the whole family feels like we’re in some sort of limbo.”

Despite the immense grief, Alice took comfort in the support she received from her fans. “If I haven’t managed to reply to your message, please know that it doesn’t mean I didn’t read or appreciate it,” she wrote. “Your messages have literally kept me going these past three weeks.”

Last month, Alice’s trial with ex-husband Ioan concluded with the judge ruling to extend the domestic violence restraining order. During the trial, Ioan detailed years of harassment and abuse from Alice, which led to the original restraining order in 2022. Alice admitted to her actions and expressed regret, but the judge found that she had repeatedly violated the terms of the order.

Ioan and Alice, who separated in early 2021, finalized their divorce in 2023. Since then, they have been embroiled in a bitter dispute over money and their two daughters, Ella, 16, and Elsie, 12. Ioan married Bianca Wallace in April last year, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Mila, in November.
