In a heartfelt Instagram post on September 20, Camerota opened up about Tim’s two-year battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She described her late husband as a man who faced his diagnosis with unmatched humor, humility, and bravery. “Tim was a phenomenal father, husband, friend, and role model,” she wrote, expressing how much they will miss his strength and wisdom.
Along with their twin daughters, Ale and Cessa, and their son, Nate, Camerota admitted that they are still trying to find their way without Tim. However, she emphasized that they are determined to honor his legacy by embodying the strength and stability he instilled in them.
Camerota also revealed that in Tim’s memory, they have set up a fund to help other families facing similar struggles. She shared a link to the Tim Lewis Foundation to Fight Cancer online fundraiser, encouraging people to contribute in his honor.
Reflecting on their love, Camerota wrote, “This month would have been our 23rd wedding anniversary. I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a deep, committed, loving partnership for the time we had.”
Tim Lewis, a highly accomplished individual in the world of private equity and business consulting, was originally from Kansas City. He was a graduate of Yale University and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Throughout his career, he worked at top firms including The Keystone Group, CRG Partners, and Atlantic Street Capital.
Camerota concluded her post by expressing her gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and viewers, saying, “I am grateful for your love and kindness.”
She also shared that she plans to return to work in the next few weeks.
