Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from the hit Paramount+ series MobLand following a series of on-set conflicts that left co-star Dame Helen Mirren, 80, “frustrated and fed up,” insiders claim.
The 48-year-old actor, known for playing fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen, will not be returning for the upcoming third season after several reported clashes with producers, including Jez Butterworth and David Glasser.
Sources say Helen, who portrays Maeve Harrigan, was increasingly irritated by Tom’s behaviour, describing him as “swaggering around like a king” and showing little regard for punctuality. Reports suggest he frequently arrived late, pushed for script changes unasked, and even played games on his phone while others waited.
A source close to the production revealed: “Dame Helen is one of the most professional actors in the business. She expects high standards, and Tom’s arrogance and attitude were starting to get personal. Everyone loves working on MobLand, but this tension cast a shadow over the set.”
Tom Hardy’s reported firing from MobLand comes after the star allegedly enraged his co-star Helen Mirren with his on-set behaviour
Insiders also pointed to a familiar pattern. Back in 2015, while filming Mad Max: Fury Road, Tom clashed with Charlize Theron, with late arrivals and on-set arguments escalating into screaming matches. He later admitted he wasn’t ready for the role and regretted how it affected his co-star.

Tom, married to Charlotte Riley, 44, had reportedly planned a sabbatical after filming due to multiple health issues, including knee surgeries, a herniated disc, sciatica, and a pulled hip tendon. He told Esquire UK: “It’s all falling to bits now, and it’s not going to get better.”
Despite his charm on-screen, the behind-the-scenes reports paint a picture of an actor whose intensity sometimes tips over into confrontation. With season three in the balance, it seems Tom Hardy’s on-set persona has finally caught up with him — and this time, it’s cost him his role.
