Katie Price Reveals She Has Finally Spoken to Missing Husband Lee Andrews — Detained in Dubai on “Suspicion of Espionage”

After nearly two weeks of heart-wrenching uncertainty, Katie Price has finally heard from her husband Lee Andrews, ending a tense period of fear and speculation. The 47-year-old former glamour model revealed that Lee, 43, called her from Al Awir prison in Dubai this morning, claiming he has been detained on suspicion of espionage.

Lee had appeared to still be active on social media after he followed a mystery woman on InstagramIt marks the first time the couple have spoken since his disappearance, which began when Lee sent Katie a chilling video showing him hooded and with his hands tied, allegedly taken to a “black site” as he tried to fly back to London to be with her.

Speaking to The Sun, Katie said:

“I have found him — he is alive, and he is okay. I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him. It was very rushed, but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy. I don’t know much more than that right now.”

The call coincided with a bittersweet day for Katie, who was celebrating her eldest son Harvey’s 24th birthday while finally learning her husband was safe.

Lee’s father, Peter Andrews, confirmed that his son has been arrested and is currently in custody, although he is unsure of the exact charges. The British Foreign Office has reiterated that consular officials are supporting the family and are in contact with UAE authorities.

Al Awir Central Prison, sometimes nicknamed “Dubai’s Alcatraz,” is notorious for its harsh conditions, housing dangerous criminals alongside expatriates, including British citizens. Former detainees describe overcrowded cells, harsh treatment, and unsanitary conditions — all realities Lee now faces. Reports suggest he shares rooms with up to 15 men, sleeping on bunk beds and the floor.
