Michael Le Vell, the beloved Coronation Street actor who has played Kevin Webster since 1983, has officially tied the knot with his long-term partner Louise Gibbons. The 61-year-old actor and Louise, together for 12 years, celebrated their union in a private town hall ceremony at Trafford Register Office in Greater Manchester on Saturday, with fewer than 30 guests in attendance.

The couple was joined by several Corrie co-stars, including his former on-screen wife Sally Dynevor, 63, and newly-single Alan Halsall, 43. Michael looked dashing in a neutral three-piece suit with a crisp white shirt, silk tie, and matching pocket square, while Louise stunned in a white gown featuring a fitted bodice, plunging neckline, and unique textured sleeves.

Guests cheered as the newlyweds emerged from the venue to a shower of confetti. They departed in a Mercedes adorned with white ribbons before heading to a reception at Ashton on Mersey Golf Club. The intimate celebration reflected their enduring love and the journey they’ve shared over more than a decade.
Michael and Louise first met in 2014 through Michael’s local bookie, Louise’s sister. The couple experienced a split in 2018 but reconciled, demonstrating resilience in their relationship. Throughout their time together, Louise has supported Michael through challenges, including his battle with drug addiction and past legal difficulties.
Michael, previously married to fellow Coronation Street star Janette Beverley, has two children from that marriage. The actor has faced significant personal hurdles, including bankruptcy in 2019 due to legal fees from charges of child sex offences, from which he was acquitted in 2013.
Friends and family describe the couple as devoted to each other, and the ceremony was a testament to their journey, love, and enduring commitment.
