Three years after his highly publicised scandal, Phillip Schofield has received public support from longtime friend Darren Day, who insists: âThe Phil that I know is a good man.â
Schofield, who left This Morning in 2023 following the revelation of an âunwise but not illegalâ affair with a younger male colleague, has kept a relatively low profile since. But Darren, speaking to MailOnline, revealed he recently saw Phil at a party with Ant and Dec, noting: âPhil and I have been mates for a long time⊠we had a lot of fun times together.â
Darren criticised the abrupt end to Phillipâs career, calling it âa massive career to have taken awayâ, and praised his friendâs character, emphasising the human side of a star often judged harshly by the public.
Phillip himself has opened up about his life since the scandal. Living quietly in a Victorian home in Chiswick with his family and dog, he describes himself as âcontentâ and âhappyâ, embracing a drama-free life while keeping a low profile. âThe past few years were utterly brutal⊠Iâve got used to my new life and Iâm content with that and happy,â he said.
This glimpse into Phillipâs renewed personal life, alongside public support from friends like Darren, gives fans a reminder that even in the wake of controversy, trust, loyalty, and friendships endure.
